Biography Of Jesse Eisenberg – Career, Family
Jesse Adam Eisenberg, born on October 5, 1983, is an Actor and playwright. He was born in New York, United States. He is known for playing Columbus in “Zombieland” (2009) and Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network” (2010). He made his debut in the series “Get Real” in 1999 and a few years later he came to film with “Roger Dodger” (2002). He gained recognition for his performances in “The Hunting Party” and “Zombieland” and gained fame in 2010 with “The Social Network” (2010). Since then he has participated in major productions such as 30 Minutes or Less, Now You See Me, Louder than Bombs, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Family and Beginnings
He is the son of Barry and Amy Eisenberg. His father is a university professor and his mother is a children’s entertainer, who used to dress up as a clown. He was raised in East Brunswick, New Jersey, and attended East Brunswick High School. As a child, he began to act in school productions, this being a way to socialize and deal with his anxiety disorder. With time his attacks were decreasing.
Although he enrolled at New York University, he did not get to study because his commitments prevented him from doing so. Instead, he attended The New School and soon after began working in theatre. At that time Eisenberg would participate in works such as “Summer and Smoke” and “The Gathering”.
Jesse Eisenberg Career
At the end of the nineties, he debuted on television playing Kenny Green in the series Get Real (1999-2000). In 2001, he released the television film “Lightning: Fire from the Sky” and a year later he made his film debut with “Roger Dodger” (2002), a Dylan Kidd film in which he starred alongside Campbell Scott. That same year he worked on “The Emperor’s Club” (2002), with Kevin Kline.
He would later be seen alongside Joaquin Phoenix in The Village (2004). In 2005, she starred in the comedy-drama The Squid and the Whale and the horror film Cursed, sharing the latter credits as Christina Ricci and Portia de Rossi. Two years later she starred in the abuse drama, “The Education of Charlie Banks” (2007) and “The Hunting Party” (2007).
He also acted in “TheLiving Wake” (2007) and “One Day Like Rain” (2007). Eisenberg began to gain recognition in 2009, thanks to Zombieland, a horror comedy in which he would play Columbus, a scared young man who must face countless undead. That same year he played James Brennan in “Adventureland” (2009) and Daniel Cheston in “Solitary Man” (2009).
He rose to fame in 2010 when he played the creator of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg in The social network. In this film, he shared credits with Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Armie Hammer, and Rooney Mara. Thanks to the success of the film in the following years, his career would rise. In 2011, he premiered the crime comedy 30 Minutes or Less, in which he was a pizza delivery boy, and in 2013, he played Danny Atlas, a renowned illusionist in Now You See Me.
He was the partner of Kristen Stewart in “American Ultra” (2015) and the son of Gabriel Byrne in “Louder than Bombs” (2015). A year later he reprised his role in “Now You See Me 2” (2016) and played the millionaire villain Lex Luthor in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”. That same year he premiered the Woody Allen film, Café Society. He recently premiered “The Hummingbird Project” (2018), together with Alexander Skarsgård and Salma Hayek.
