Awantipora: Terrorist killed, 2 soldiers injured, the body still unrecovered from there

A confrontation has begun in the Pulwama district at Padgampora Awantipora. It is the responsibility of the police and security forces to investigate. On the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “Further details shall follow.”
According to the police, one terrorist was killed in the Awantipora encounter, but his body has not yet been recovered.
Sanjay Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit was on his way to the local market when he was killed by terrorists two days ago. He was on his way home from work. Eventually, he succumbed to hospital complications due to injuries to his body. He was rushed to a hospital by passersby but died.
According to an official, Sharma’s mortal remains were burnt on Monday as per Hindu rituals, surrounded by his family members and neighbors, including Muslims, who assisted in the last rites, an official further added.
According to Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha, the security forces will take care of those responsible for the “extremely unfortunate incident”.
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti visited Sharma’s family during the BJP protests against his killing and challenged the Centre’s claims that militancy has ended in Kashmir.
Sharma was the first victim of terrorism this year. They killed 18 people in 29 attacks in Kashmir last year, including three Kashmiri Pandits, a Rajasthani bank manager, and eight non-local workers.
He described the killing as a setback for the centuries-old Hindu-Muslim harmony in the village.
