At the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his first Indian Premier League (IPL) hundred.
At 21 years and 123 days, he became the fourth youngest player to score a hundred in IPL history with a four off Riley Meredith. The youngest centurion in the IPL is Manish Pandey (19 years, 253 days), followed by Rishabh Pant (20 years, 218 days) and Devdutt Padikkal (20 years, 289 days).
Jaiswal’s 124 off 62 balls equaled Jos Buttler’s record for the highest score by a Rajasthan Royals batter. At Delhi in 2021, Buttler scored 124 off 64 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
