Runescape Beginner’s Guide

RuneScape game

Seldom, games are so good that they last for more than decades. And one of them is RuneScape which has turned 20 years old game now but is still popular and has a large fraction of the population playing for many years. It’s a fantastic Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing (MMORP)game.

Before we get started with Beginner’s Guide, let me tell you a little of its history. This game was an online browsing game created in January 2001 and you won’t believe that this was originally the work of just two brothers who built this game using Java Programming language. RuneScape is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest and most updated free MMORPG.

Welcome to Gielinor

This action game takes place in the world of Gielinor, a medieval fantasy realm in which players can travel throughout Gielinor via charter ships, magical spells, etc. In each and every region, there are different types of monsters, resources with whom you have to talk, and different quests to challenge players at every point. Players set their goals and interests before getting ready to play.

Now let me brief you about the game …

If you are a new and returning player, then you are going to land on Tutorial Island where you will meet with Reginald.  He will take you through the walkthrough of the game like how to move the player character and camera. You might have to consult this guide on your first days of the game in order to understand the game and the winning strategies.

Let’s start with the Beginner’s Guide now…

Find your feet

You need to know how to play the game. And before that, you should know where you are. The Minimap can be your Google Maps here.

There are two salient roles of Minimap:

Home Teleport- This will assist you in returning to any lodestone (cities with circular stone plinths) where you will keep visiting and initiating step by step. However, you can go to home teleport, only before and after the game, not during the game.

World Map- You can click on the “World Map” option. Then, go on the filter option available on the left side and select cities according to your preference and wherever you want to combat.

Paths and Challenges

It might become challenging for you to decide what to do and where to go first. But you need not worry! Path System helps navigating you towards the content as per your choice. This content has three categories- Questing, combat, and non-combat skills. To get started, you can always click on the “Compass icon”  and click on the Path tab.

If you love challenges, then this is the right place for you, my pal. You can level up yourself every day and learn fast by playing daily challenges. These challenges last for about 30 minutes maximum. Furthermore, you can become a great player in a short period. To find more, you can speak to Challenge Mistress Fara in Burthorpe.

Where to go next?

You have enough freedom to become an intrepid quester, a mighty warrior, and so on according to your choice. You might upgrade your membership to play everything that RuneScape offers.

Here quests are packed with tasty rewards and trademark humor.

To access the Quests tab, click the Compass icon and choose the Quests tab.
