Gumraah Teaser Released: Aditya Roy Kapur Starrer Murder Mystery Promises Lots of Twists in the Movie

On 23 March 2023, the much-awaited trailer of the upcoming murder mystery movie ‘Gumraah’ starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur was released.

The movie is directed by Vardhan Ketkar, the upcoming movie promises to be a gripping comedy filled with various twists and turns. Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen in a double personality while Mrunal Thakur will play the character of a female police officer and Ronit Roy as a senior police officer.

The premise of the film starts with a murder, but there are two suspects and both are similar to each other. The main premise of the film is now what is behind this killing and who committed the murder. This movie fits people who have seen the original version.

Aditya Roy Kapur delivers yet another not ever seen before character. There is no doubt that the actor was a delight to watch in both his characters and the actor managed to grab attention with his performance and looks.

Mrunal Thakur as the investigating officer looks different but her character was not strong enough, Ronit Roy was decent and Deepa Kalra makes you laugh in a few scenes.

It has to be the premise and plot which is similar to the original version. The second half has several twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Having said all these positive points, the movie also has many negative points. Despite being a remake of the South movie, it should have been handled differently. The approach of the film is the same and there are big scenes that are replicas of the original version.

The screenplay of the movie falls flat and the movie is a pure victim of a bad script and bad screenplay. The second half has a lot of gaps when it comes to the events that happen in the movie as they look a bit rushed and clustered.

Also at many points, the movie becomes very slow and few incidents in the movie are very predictable which does not surprise the audience in any way. We can simply say that actress Vedika Pinto is wasted in the movie, she should have got more screen space, also the songs of the movie are lovely but they seem a little loud and distract the audience.
