Delhi Police Busts Betting Racket In IPL Matches, 2 Accused Arrested

Delhi Police has busted a gang involved in betting on IPL matches. Police busted the gang and said that during the raid, two people were found playing online betting. Both have been arrested.

A special team of Delhi Police has busted a betting racket on IPL matches. Police have recovered five mobile phones, one LED TV and one laptop from the accused.

Giving information about the action taken on the betting racket, the police said that on the basis of secret information, a special team of the police has arrested the person running the gambling racket during the ongoing IPL cricket matches in Nihal Vihar police station area.

Based on the information, the team raided C-56, Gali No. 3, Shiv Ram Park, Nihal Vihar area, from where 2 persons, including bookie kingpin Sanjay Kumar, were found playing online gambling during IPL cricket matches. All the accused have been arrested and recovered a laptop, 5 mobile phones and 1 LED TV from the spot. An FIR has been registered against the accused under sections of the Public Gambling Act and investigation has been started.
