Last year might not have been the best year of our lives, but for sure in 2021 we’re doing our best to live a happier and healthier life. The following practical tips will help you have healthy living in 2021.

If you are not content with your lifestyle right now, just know that you’re not the only one disappointed with yourself. In fact, we all need some disappointment in life to make us realize what’s best for us, and avoid negativity in the future. 

At this very extreme moment, people started to work from home, but this is not a particularly beneficial thing for the brain. We all need interaction, so allowing yourself some time at the end of the week to socialize with friends it’s crucial. Staying at home made us create a behavior of eating chaotically, which is considered risky for the health, as people can develop type 2 diabetes, heart attack, and other health problems. 

So, here are some basic tips to use and maintain your lifestyle healthier.

Consume less sugar

Consuming excessive amounts of sugar can increase the risk of unhealthy weight gain, and tooth deterioration. Also, a risk of heart disease or stroke is very possible for people who eat plenty of sugar. It’s not sweet how dangerous sugar can become in people’s bodies! Too much added sugar in your foods can be also a threat to cardiovascular disease. Curb your sweet habit by finding stability. 

However, sugar occurs naturally in all types of foods, but it depends significantly what’s the amount of sugar consumed by a person. Fruits and vegetables also contain sugar, but it’s okay to consume them. Processed food contains a lot of added sugar, so it’s best to avoid them. Instead, you could consume plant foods that contain antioxidants, minerals, protein, calcium, and fibers. Instead, you might consider adding red pine needle oil to your eating and drinking habits. Inflammation, in theory, occurs because of skin conditions (acne), pain, muscle pain, or other related health conditions.

Avoid cigarettes

Smoking not only causes lung and heart disease but also impacts your overall appearance. Currently, there are around 16 million smoking adults in the Philippines, and an average consumer smoking 7 to 10 cigarettes per day. If you’re interested in quitting smoking, then you’re already one step ahead of your quitting journey. 

It’s never too late to quit smoking. Once a while has passed after you quit smoking, you will experience an immediate health benefit. And if you’re not a smoker, do not consider starting smoking. Be sure to fight for your right to breathe healthy and fresh air. 

Say no to alcohol

Alcohol might seem like a good way to have fun, especially at parties, or when you’re out in the club, but you cannot deny the next day hangover and the headache that’s killing you. Apart from this, alcohol is actually a toxic substance to the body. You might have heard the saying that “1 glass of red wine per day is healthy and improves blood circulation” – nothing falser. Alcohol is actually dangerous, especially if consumed in high amounts. There is literally no safe level when it comes to alcohol. Consuming it can lead to significantly many health issues, like cirrhosis, cancer, heart disease, as well as injuries resulting from collisions, violence, car accidents, and so on. There are so many negative aspects about drinking alcohol, that we don’t recommend even the slightest bit. To enjoy your life, be sure to cut your alcohol intake, and find another hobby or invest your money more wisely. 

Be more active

Related to what we’ve mentioned before, it’s best to invest your money in something more beneficial for your health – like sport. If you’re not a fan of physical activity, don’t worry. There are many other sports you could follow to improve your health, like swimming, hiking, cycling, and even walking. Walking every day for 30 minutes (morning or evening) is a sign of a truly healthy lifestyle. Bodily movement is essential, as this will strengthen your muscles, and also give you plenty of energy to enjoy other things in life. Engage in recreational activities, such as yoga, cardio sessions at the gym, running in the park, etc. 

We promise you, you will feel absolutely amazing after a workout, or any other type of physical activity you choose to perform. Also, you can download a workout app, and start your own workouts at home. Increase the intensity of your physical activity every week, and you’ll soon see results. Your body is going to be fit, and perfectly shaped. Of course, this requires you to eat a healthy diet, and drink plenty of water daily (at least 2 and a half liters/day). 

Whenever you’re feeling down, talk to anyone you trust and send them a message that you need help. You might need the motivation to change your lifestyle. Don’t let depression get you, and be sure to notice it, as depression can manifest in several ways. But it’s important to remember that you’re not alone, and you should talk to a family member, a friend, or a colleague if you feel down. Changing your lifestyle doesn’t happen overnight, or by miracle. You need to encourage yourself that it’s the best way to improve your lifestyle.
