7. Be physically active

Exercise regularly. Physical activity can improve your health and may help you live longer. In fact, physical inactivity is second only to cigarette smoking as a risk factor for early death.

Trying to reach and maintain a healthy weight also can be important for your health. Being overweight or obese increases the risk of many diseases, including heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
