If you are a ‘Kill Bill’, ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Inglorious Bastard fan then you need to thank Quentin Tarantino. But we have sad news for the Quentin lovers. You may not get such cult classics. As Quentin has decided to stick to his decision of retiring after his tenth movie. Unfortunately, the script of his tenth movie is over. This also remarks a full stop to his filmmaking career and his classic movies.

He is the man behind these amazing and hooking films. He has given multiple superhit movies and is truly a filmmaking marvel. Fans are disappointed when Quentin announced after the release of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood in 2019, that he would be retiring after his next movie. Now that the script of his tenth movie is over, he is ready to bow out from his filmmaking career.

Quentin Jerome Tarantino popularly known as Quentin Tarantino is an American Director and screenwriter. Tarantino is 60 years old and worked in a California video store before he discovered he could become a filmmaking genius. Quentin Tarantino was born on 27 March 1973 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. He was exposed to films in his family as he was born to Tony Tarantino who was an actor and Connie McHugh who was a nurse. However, he did not spend much time with his father and was raised by his mother and stepfather Curst Zastoupil. He has Italian-Irish-Cherokee ancestry. Which is an interesting mix. 

When it comes to his education Quentin Tarantino was always fond of cinemas. When he was in Junior High School he used to attend drama classes. He attended Fleming Junior High School. He also studied at Narbonne High School but he dropped out of school at the early age of fifteen. Post dropping out of school he was attending the James Theatre Company but ended up quitting within 2 years. He then started working at a video rental studio ‘Video Archives’ where he learned about the taste and preferences of different age groups in cinema.

When we talk about Quentin Tarantino we must know that Quentin has given some amazing movies all his life. He has contributed to some of the biggest hits in his lifetime. His directing debut was in 1992 with Reservoir Dogs, a bloody movie about an aborted burglary of a diamond store. He became a well-known filmmaker with Pulp Fiction two years later. The controversial movie, which intertwined several different crime storylines, was awarded the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Tarantino later won the Oscar Award for best original screenplay (together with Roger Avary). 

He transformed an Elmore Leonard book about a flight attendant involved in criminal activity into Jackie Brown (1997). Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) and Vol. 2 (2004), written and directed by Tarantino, are about a trained assassin (Uma Thurman) and her quest for vengeance. Grindhouse (2007), (2007), which was a homage to the double features of a B-movie. It was a pairing of the classic story about a homicidal stuntman, Death Proof by Quentin Tarantino, and Robert Rodriguez’s film Planet Terror.

The three movies that followed were irreverent in their treatment of history. A gang of Jewish American troops who were taught to kill Nazis in German-occupied France is the subject of the 2009 film Inglourious Basterds, which is set during World War Two. Set in the Antebellum American South, Django Unchained (2012) depicts the exciting story of a freed slave striving to save his wife from a ruthless plantation owner. Tarantino received yet another Oscar Award for penning the script for the movie. The Hateful Eight (2015) is a post-Civil War western that details the physical altercations and verbal jibes between a group of travelers stranded at an inn in a snowstorm. 

His next celebrated work was the movie ‘Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood ‘(2019) it portrayed a washed-up actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stuntman (Brad Pitt), who meet Charles Manson in 1969 Los Angeles. When the film was first shown at the Cannes Film Festival, it received a standing ovation from the guests. Tarantino released a novel based on a dramedy in 2021. Apart from an amazing career as a filmmaker, Quentin Tarantino has also tried his hands at acting and direction.
