Runescape Beginner’s Guide

Seldom, games are so good that they last for more than decades. And one of them is RuneScape which has turned 20 years old game now but is still popular and has a large fraction of the population playing for many years. It’s a fantastic Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing (MMORP)game.

Find your feet

You need to know how to play the game. And before that, you should know where you are. The Minimap can be your Google Maps here.

There are two salient roles of Minimap:

Home Teleport- This will assist you in returning to any lodestone (cities with circular stone plinths) where you will keep visiting and initiating step by step. However, you can go to home teleport, only before and after the game, not during the game.

World Map- You can click on the “World Map” option. Then, go on the filter option available on the left side and select cities according to your preference and wherever you want to combat.

Paths and Challenges

It might become challenging for you to decide what to do and where to go first. But you need not worry! Path System helps navigating you towards the content as per your choice. This content has three categories- Questing, combat, and non-combat skills. To get started, you can always click on the “Compass icon”  and click on the Path tab.

If you love challenges, then this is the right place for you, my pal. You can level up yourself every day and learn fast by playing daily challenges. Quests

Here quests are packed with tasty rewards and trademark humor.

1. The Blood Pact

You need to look out for Sister Catherina who is from East of Al Kharid. At a sand-blasted desert monastery, get involved in a bloody murder mystery by completing full voice acting and musical tracks.

4. Missing, Presumed Death

The Gods return to Gielinor and their old grudges resurface as trickster Sliske which turns out into a new war. You can have a word with Brother Samwell who is North- East of Varrock and get started with the biggest storyline of Sixth Age.

Combat Skills

1. Abandoned Mine- Burthorpe

No subscription is not needed; you can play it for free.

If you want to train yourself for a fight, this is a great place where trolls itch for a scrap. You can access the mine at the northern end of Burthorpe.

2. Slayer

Subscription is a must.

You can speak to Turael in Taverley to commence and obey tasks given by Slayer Master and travel the world while using special gear to slay Gielinor’s deadliest beasts.

3. Pest Control

Subscription is a must.

You have to join the Void Knights and hold back the relentless incursion of the Void Pests, earning the right to bear the order’s iconic armor and weapons. Head there from the Void Knight ship at Port Sarim.

Non- Combat and Support Skills

Here’s how you can get started:

1. The Nexus

No subscription is needed, you can play it for free.

Your prayers become useful and hold back an eldritch monstrosity in the South of Lumbridge that helps you to level up. Then speak to Ysondria Swamp and get your hands dirty.

2. Trade Skills

Free to play and for some, a subscription is also needed.

You have to gather, create and dominate. Then collect the valuable materials and smith powerful weapons to use or sell. For a head start, you can speak to the skill trainers in Burthorpe.

3. Lumbridge Thieves’ Guild

Subscription is a must.

You have to bring a sense of larcenous class to Gielinor and enter the trapdoor north of Lumbridge. To start the introductory Buyers and Sellers quest, contact Darren.

4. Summoning

Subscription is a must.

You have to call beasts from the Spirit Realm to help you fight and more. You need to speak to Pikkupstix in Taverley to start the Wolf Whistle quest.
